Notes:
-
An investor at this level has the privilege of naming The (your name here)
Village at Everyday Blessings. This investment will pay for the building of
its infrastructure. 10% of the balance will be used for the maintenance and
operation of The Village at Everyday Blessings. 90% of the balance will be
placed in an endowment fund, which will be used for its maintenance and
operation, ad infinitum.
-
An investor at this level sponsors the construction of a home that will
house an adoptive family willing to adopt a minimum of four
difficult-to-place (8 years and older) children out of the foster care
system. The family will stay for as long as is necessary for them
to bond as a family and until all abused and neglected children's
developmental and emotional issues have become manageable. 10% of the
balance will be used for the maintenance and operation of The Village at
Everyday Blessings. 90% of the balance will be placed in an endowment fund,
which will be used for its maintenance and operation, ad infinitum.
-
Senior Citizens make up
the "binding force" of The Village at Everyday Blessings. They are the
stable entities of the Village. While families will move on to make room for
other families, the seniors will remain until they can no longer care for
themselves nor be cared for by the community. In exchange for reduced
rent, they volunteer a minimum of eight hours a week
in service to the families in residence. They are the mentors,
tutors, cookie bakers, listeners, story tellers, etc.
-
One requirement of the live-in caregivers is that one parent stays at home to
be present to the children at all times and to manage the household chores and
living expenses. Simultaneously, a financial advisor will counsel
the working parent about investing a portion of his/her salary for an eventual
down payment on a home for the family after their departure from The
Village at Everyday Blessings.
